A French band brought excitement to a state dinner in Paris on Thursday, captivating guests with a lively performance of P-Square’s chart-topping track “Testimony (Taste the Money)” in honour of President Bola Tinubu.
The dinner, held at the Palais de l’Élysée, was part of Tinubu’s three-day state visit to France, aimed at strengthening diplomatic and economic ties between the two nations.
A video of the performance has since gone viral, showcasing the band’s dynamic take on the Afrobeat anthem, blending Nigerian beats with a touch of French style.
The rendition was met with applause from the crowd, including President Tinubu and First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who appeared visibly pleased by the tribute.
To further celebrate Nigerian music, the band also performed “Mama Africa” by Bracket, making a memorable statement of cultural unity on the international stage.
