Abducted Benue State Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Ekpe Ogbu, has regained freedom from his abductors.

Recall that PUNCH METRO on Sunday reported that Ogbu was kidnapped on by some unknown gunmen.

It was also reported that his abductors had demanded a ransom of N5 million, using the phone of Ogbu’s driver.

The news of his release has been confirmed by the Benue police commissioner, CP Wale Abass on Tuesday.

The police chief only disclosed that the commissioner has been freed, he did not explain how he was eventually freed.
