Embattled Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju Omiyinka aka Baba Ijesha, has lost his father, James Omiyinka, aged 95.

Baba Ijesha’s colleague, Yomi Fabiyi, announced this on his Instagram page late Saturday.

Sharing a photo of the deceased, Baba Ijesha wrote, “Accept my condolences BABA IJESHA on the death of your father. May the spirit of your father never depart you, he will fight for you someday. Baba lived a good life.”

Consoling his colleague, Fabiyi added, “We will continue to pray with you and hope someday the integrity of the judiciary will be restored in this matter. Take heart, senior man.”

The Ikeja Special Offences Court had in July 2022 sentenced Baba Ijesha to 16 years in prison for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old minor.
