Super Eagles duo, Paul Onuachu and Joe Aribo have been relegated with Southampton from the English Premier League.

This leaves Southampton as the first team to be relegated from the EPL

The saints were sent packing from the EPL after losing to Fulham by two goals to nil in front of their home fans.

The relegation ends an 11-season run in the EPL, the last time they were relegated, it took them seven years to get back to the premier league.

They sit eight points behind 17th-place Everton with two matches to go, meaning Southampton cannot escape relegation even if they win their two remaining games.

Britain’s Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, a Saints fan was among those in attendance on the south coast as the hosts’ 11-season stay in the top flight ended.

Boos and chants of “you’re not fit to wear the shirt” from home supporters greeted the full-time whistle.
