Terrorists have invaded some villages in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State, killing several residents, including the Aribi ward chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Mr Illiya Auta.
It was gathered that scores of residents were also abducted, while some cows were rustled during the attack.
According to a source, the hoodlums stormed Aribi ward in Kagarko and shot indiscriminately, forcing residents to flee their homes.
“It was during the attack that the Aribi ward chairman of the APC, Mr Illiya Auta, was gunned down.
“Several other residents were killed during the attack, which occurred on Monday night.
“The bandits also made away with scores of villagers to an unknown destination, while others were seriously wounded.
“They (bandits) also rustled many cows,” he added.
Neither the state government nor the state police command had reacted to the incident as of the time of filing this report.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige, did not take his calls or respond to a message on the incident as of press time.
