A former governor of Jigawa state, Samini Turaki has been acquitted by the federal high court in the state of ₦8.3 billion fraud.
According to The Cable, the embattled ex-governor who had been on trial since May 4, 2007, on 33-counts was acquitted today.
Turaki was prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over corruption charges preferred against him.
