Ahead of the general elections on Saturday, February 25, and March 11, the Court of Appeal has constituted an Election Petitions Tribunal for the national, and state House of Assembly elections in Ondo state.
The tribunal secretary, Musa Abdullahi, in a statement said the High Court room 2, High Court complex, Akure has been approved for the use of the tribunal sitting.
The statement read in part, “In line with the provisions of section 130 (3) (b) of the Electoral Act, 2022, the Hon. President of the Court of Appeal has constituted the Panel for the Ondo State National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunals.
“In view of the above, NOTICE is hereby given to the general public that the Ondo State National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunals have been constituted for the forthcoming general Election coming up on the 25th February 2023 and 11th March 2023 and that the Secretariat of the Tribunal is opened for business 24/7.
“AND THAT NOTICE is further given to the Ondo State Police Command, the Department of State Service and Press and the general public that the Tribunal timing and venue is scheduled as follows:
“VENUE: High Court 2, High Court Complex Akure, Ondo State Time: 7:30 – – 8:00Pm Monday — to –Sunday”.
