A man identified as Folarin Rauf, has been sentenced to life imprisonment by the Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court in Lagos State.
This was disclosed by the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Agency on Tuesday through its official Twitter account.
It was reported that Rauf was convicted of defiling his employer’s five-year-old granddaughter.
He was arraigned on November 30, 2021, on one count of defilement and he pleaded not guilty.
His offence committed contravened Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.
The agency also revealed that his name would be registered in the Sexual Offenders Register as maintained by Lagos State.
