The Federal Government has released the 2024 Professional Examination results for General and Post Basic Nursing Programmes, highlighting an overall success rate of 88 percent.
This was contained in a circular issued by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria dated November 10, 2024.
The circular, signed by the acting registrar of NMCN, Ngadi Alhassan, outlines the exam results and offers a detailed breakdown across various nursing programs.
According to the NMCN, 18,139 candidates passed the exams, underscoring an impressive success rate across different nursing disciplines.
“I am pleased to inform you that the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare has approved the release of the results of the November 2024 Professional Examination in General/Post Basic Nursing Programmes,” the statement read.
In terms of specific programs, the General Nursing Programme achieved a pass rate of 88 percent, with 12,534 candidates passing the exam.
Additionally, the Refresher Program saw 42 successful candidates, accounting for a 45 percent pass rate.
For the Foreign Trained Nursing candidates, 178 passed, representing a 43 percent pass rate.
The Post Basic Nursing Programmes performed exceptionally well, with a 96 percent pass rate and 4,513 candidates successful.
Meanwhile, the Community Nursing Programme had 872 successful candidates, equating to a 74 percent pass rate.
