The Lagos State University has announced the introduction of Trekk Scooters on its main campus in Ojo as an alternative means of transportation.
During the introduction of the innovation, the Director of LASU Ventures Limited, Professor Tosin Adu stated that the innovation was developed as a result of the collaboration between LASU Ventures Limited and TREKK Scooters company.
He emphasised that the University established the partnership to offer students an alternative means of transportation while simultaneously promoting environmental sustainability.
He expressed gratitude towards the University Management for granting approval of the partnership.
“TREKK Scooters offers an eco-friendly alternative to the shuttle service on the Campus and allows students to unlock the scooters parked at the University Main Gate, Ojo, Lagos, pay a designated amount using the TREKK App and ride the vehicle anywhere on the Campus,” Adu said.
Also, the Chief Executive Officer of the e-Scooters sharing platform, Mr Isaac Oyedokun, said that the platform will be hosted by LASU, making it the first public university to do so.
