Afrobeats artist B-Red, has revealed how Nigerian international act, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy was chasing Davido the first time they met.
B-Red, who is Davido’s cousin, stated this during an interview at Echo Room.
The son of the Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke said that he and Davido were in in Port Harcourt and Burna Boy was running after their car.
“The first day I met Burna Boy, it was in Port Harcourt and he was running after me and Davido’s telling us he loves our music.”
B-Red’s statement comes only a day after Davido sparked outrage on Twitter by naming Burna Boy as one of the new cats.
Davido added in the interview that he and Wizkid were unquestionably the first performers to blow out of Nigeria and carry the music to an international audience.
He went on to mention several fresh talents, describing them as “new cats” that are bringing Afrobeats to a global audience.
