The Nigeria Police Force has issued a stern warning against the popular social media slogan, ‘No gree for anybody’, noting that the law will take its cause in the event of any violation.
Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, gave this warning amid crack down on 67 suspects paraded for range of crimes on Tuesday.
The offences include kidnapping, gun running, once chance robbery, banditry, across the country.
Giving warning on the slogan, Adejobi said, “Let me say again that new slogan for 2023/2024 for our young ones ‘no gree for anybody’, we have informed our intelligence that this slogan is coming from visionary sector that may likely cause problem across the country.
“No gree for anybody’ may be seen as a normal talk but in security business, in security community, we are seeing it as a very dangerous slogan that can trigger violence.
“Don’t forget that as you are entitled to your fundamental human right, no fundamental human right is absolute.
“No gree for anybody’ will not work. Security operatives will come to you for commiting an offence. Once you commit an offence security operatives will arrest you and make you face the full wrath of the law.
“No gree for anybody’ no go work when you commit an offence.”
