Manchester City is reportedly preparing a final contract extension offer for Ederson to dissuade him from joining Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr.
According to The Sun, the reigning Premier League champions will present a ‘take it or leave it’ proposal to their star goalkeeper.
However, City will not stand in Ederson’s way if he opts to join Cristiano Ronaldo in the Middle East.
Al-Nassr is said to be offering Ederson a staggering £900,000 per week along with a substantial signing bonus.
While Manchester City cannot match such an offer, they are prepared to offer a long-term deal with a 75% increase on his current salary.
If Ederson agrees to extend his contract with City, he could potentially earn £1 million per month starting from the upcoming season.
With two years remaining on his existing contract, time is ticking for Manchester City to secure a significant transfer fee for Ederson.
Should he decline the extension, the club is reportedly seeking around £50 million, €59 million / $64 million, for his transfer.
Currently enjoying a break following Brazil’s early exit from Copa America 2024, Ederson is expected to rejoin City later this month and may accompany the team on their upcoming trip to the United States.
