President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to depart Abuja on Wednesday for a three-day official visit to Malabo, the capital of Equatorial Guinea, at the invitation of President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.
The visit was confirmed by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, in a statement on Tuesday.
The statement added that Tinubu will engage in discussions with his Equatorial Guinean counterpart at the Presidential Villa in Malabo.
According to the statement, key topics on the agenda include bilateral cooperation, particularly in the areas of oil, gas, and security.
During the visit, several agreements aimed at enhancing collaboration between Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea are expected to be signed.
The statement added, “The President will be accompanied on the trip by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, and other members of his cabinet who will be involved in the signing of agreements and review of opportunities to improve bilateral relations.”
The President will be accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, along with other cabinet members, who will participate in the signing of agreements and the exploration of opportunities to further strengthen relations between the two nations.
