Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni, has authorized the recruitment of 424 health professionals to strengthen healthcare services across the state.
In a statement signed by the Director General of Press and Media Affairs to the Governor, Mamman Mohammed, it was revealed that 205 nurses and midwives from the Shehu Sule College of Nursing and Midwifery, a state-owned institution, have been included in the employment exercise.
Additionally, 219 health technicians specializing in various fields have also been recruited to meet the professional demands of health facilities in the state.
The new hires will be deployed to both rural and urban areas to ensure efficient healthcare delivery.
“This employment aligns with the administration’s policy of providing accessible and affordable healthcare services to the people,” the statement emphasized.
Buni urged the newly employed healthcare workers to demonstrate commitment in their roles, reflecting the government’s trust and investment in them.
He further assured that improving healthcare delivery remains a top priority for his administration.
The governor reiterated his administration’s dedication to equipping hospitals with the necessary infrastructure, medical supplies, and skilled personnel to sustain and enhance healthcare services across Yobe State.
