The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has reportedly arrested one Mohammed Hamza a.k.a Auta in connection with supplies to bandits.
Hamza was said to have been on the command’s wanted list for logistic supplier and informant to a kidnapping and banditry group terrorizing Abuja and its environs.
In a statement by the command’s spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, the suspect was arrested by the anti-kidnapping unit of the Command at the Mongoro Forest.
The bandits’ logistic officer is also accused of his involvement in supplies of firearms.
Aside from food to the bandits, he is also said to supply illicit drugs to the criminals in their various hideouts in the forests using a motorcycle.
The police spokesperson said, according to Daily Post, that the operatives of the command recovered one AK47 rifle, AK47 ammunition, one mobile phone, foodstuffs and an unregistered boxer Motorcycle from the suspect.
