Renowned Nigerian actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, popularly known as Omosexy, has expressed deep gratitude to God after surviving a harrowing health scare that required emergency surgery.
In a heartfelt post on her Instagram page, the veteran actress recounted her ordeal, revealing that she experienced intense back and chest pain, severe vomiting, and unbearable stomach discomfort.
Despite these symptoms, she had continued her professional engagements, including attending the Academy Voting Members’ screening of Gladiator II.
Omotola described how her health deteriorated during the event, making it impossible for her to sit upright.
She had already been rushed to the emergency room twice earlier in the week, where doctors initially treated her for high blood pressure and acid reflux. However, her symptoms returned with greater intensity.
On her third visit to the hospital, after undergoing a series of tests, including a CT scan, ultrasound, and MRI, doctors diagnosed her with a dangerously dilated gallbladder. She was immediately taken in for surgery.
Reflecting on her recovery, Omotola described the experience as a “fight for her life.” She used the moment to encourage her followers to cherish good health and life’s blessings.
Sharing her testimony, she wrote, “The gift of life and good health cannot be overemphasized. Whether you’re in the US or elsewhere, take a moment to give thanks today.”
