Adamawa State Police Command has disclosed that it arrested a 42-year-old man for raping his nine-year-old daughter at Kabak in Mubi South Local Government Area of the state.
A spokesperson for the State Police Command, SP Suleiman Nguroje, made this disclosure on Thursday in Yola.
He revealed that the man was arrested on Tuesday following a report made by his wife.
The police spokesperson said, the suspect blamed his abominable action on excessive consumption of alcohol and other intoxicants.
“During the course of the investigation, the suspect confessed to committing the offence and blamed his action on excessive consumption of alcohol and drugs,’’ Nguroje said
He noted that an investigation was underway on the incident.
