Renowned clergyman and General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has again issued a public apology for threatening to harm anyone who touches his wife, Pastor Mrs. Folu Adeboye.
During the RCCG October Holy Ghost Service at the Redemption Camp in Ogun State on Saturday, Adeboye expressed regret for his previous statement, citing the biblical commandment “thou shall not kill.”
He said, “There is one more thing I would like to apologize for, this doesn’t concern any of those people outside, it concerns you (RCCG members).
“You know I’ve always said, when I want to let you know how much I love my wife, I’ve always said that you can do whatever you like to me but if you dare touch my wife, I will kill you.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry I said that because the bible says ‘thou shall not kill’. So, I apologise.”
However, he clarified that this apology doesn’t mean he’ll tolerate harm against his wife. Instead, he’s found a new approach.
He continued,” So, in that case, what are you going to do (for anyone wondering), you are now opening the door for us to attack your wife? No, I’ve discovered a better prayer. I’ll only tell you about it in the proverb.
“You know in Acts chapter 9 when Paul was on his way to Damascus, the Christians in Damascus didn’t know he was coming, they didn’t know trouble was coming, but God stopped him on the way. By the time he arrived among the people he was going to kill and take to prison, he had already become a brother. So you get the story?”
This apology comes just days after Adeboye apologized for stating that those who don’t pay tithes won’t make heaven.
