The 13th edition of the prestigious Mr. and Miss Nigeria International pageant will take place in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom State, from October 8 to 20, 2024.
This event, which has become a hallmark of excellence in the beauty pageant world, is set to showcase the best of Nigeria’s talent, culture, and creativity.
The pageant’s CEO, Brendan Nsikak, alongside production coordinator Sunday Okereke and spokesperson Bob Cal, highlighted that MMNI has been a platform for promoting cultural diversity, unity, and empowerment over its previous 12 editions.
“Over the years, MMNI has achieved immense success, with winners representing Nigeria internationally and making us proud,” Nsikak remarked.
He emphasized the pageant’s growth and its strategic partnerships with various government agencies in Akwa Ibom to ensure the smooth execution of the event.
2024 edition promises an even more vibrant display of talent, creativity, and solidarity, with contestants from all corners of Nigeria competing in a range of categories that go beyond physical beauty, focusing on intellect and strength as well.
Nsikak noted, “The pageant will feature contestants from across Nigeria, competing in various categories, including beauty, brains, and brawn.”
In a bid to elevate the creative industry in Akwa Ibom and enhance Nigeria’s influence in global pageantry, modelling, and fashion, the MMNI has joined forces with FETV New York to launch a fashion entertainment reality TV show in Uyo.
“As part of our pledge to create more avenues and opportunities for all in the Nigerian creative industry to maximize their potential, we are partnering with FETV New York to bring a fashion entertainment reality TV show to Uyo,” she added.
This initiative aims to not only boost the creative sector in Akwa Ibom but also to promote inclusivity and transparency, setting new standards in the beauty and fashion industries while expanding Nigeria’s presence on the global stage.
