Army dismisses soldiers over Yobe Islamic cleric's murder

The Nigerian Army has said it arrested a foreigner, Jabe Buba, who allegedly acted as an informant to terrorists in Sokoto State.

Briefing journalists at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja, the Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Bernard Onyeuko, also disclosed that at least 32 terrorists and bandits have been neutralised in the last two weeks under the various operations of the Nigerian military.

As reported by Channels TV, he said 40 terrorists and bandits were apprehended during the period, including a notorious gun-runner, Morris Ayitu, who was arrested within Abirisi, in the Guma Local Government Area of Benue State.
