West Ham took the lead in the 27th minute after Said Benrahma converted a penalty.
Their lead was only cut short in the 53rd minute after Bukayo Saka drew level for the Gunners.
Two more goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Edward Nketiah eventually gave the Gunners the much need win to solidify its place on the EPL summit.
