YBNL music star, Ahmed Omolade, popularly known as Asake, has been subjected to criticism on social media after gifting an ailing police woman the sum of five million naira.
Mrs Omorogbe, who trended online in 2022 screaming for help after she was held to ransom in a car she tried arresting, was said to have been involved in a hit-and-run car accident months after the viral
Asake was reported to have reached out to the ailing cop, donating the sum of five million naira towards her treatment.
However the donated sum has been perceived to be too small by some who stated that the singer should have donated more given the fact that the singer profited from a viral statement attributed to the ailing cop.
Social Media influencer @DrPenKing, tweeted,”Asake used this woman’s audio “Epp Me. Epp me. E dey carry me go where I no know” in his hit song PBUY without any settlement.
“That song made over 500 million in streams. This woman got into some health issues, Asake sent only 5. million after intense dragging sef. Remember that same Asake bought a house of 136 million just 2 months ago. Nigerians are not good people”

Asake tried for the whooping 5m he gave that police woman. If he didn’t, it wasn’t his responsibility. Have you asked what her organisation gave her? This your ‘Dr’ is not doctoring properly walahi”
Sharing similar opinion,@fameyuyi, posted, “He try naw… Haba. It’s not a sample Naw… It’s just a random viral audio. It’s wasn’t an intellectual property right. Wahala. So everybody that used it for skits should pay for it? Y’all calm down”.
