The Academic Staff Union of Universities has vowed to review the judgement mandating its members to resume work immediately before determining its next line of action.
This is coming after an earlier order by the National Industrial Court for ASUU to resume duties across all states in the country.
According to Daily Post, ASUU President, Professor Emmanuel Osodeke, in reaction to the fresh court judgement, said that the union is yet to officially receive the appeal court ruling.
He also said that the union would decide on the next line of action after receiving the judgement and going through the document with its lawyers.
He said, “We have not received the ruling, when we get it, we will review it with our lawyer and then we can take the next step”.
The Federal Government, on September 11 sued ASUU following its inability to reach a truce with the Union.
The Court on September 24, then ordered the striking lecturers to return to class while negotiation with the Federal Government continues.
Unsatisfied by the ruling, the union headed to the appellate court to appeal the ruling.
