Spanish football powerhouse Barcelon have officially won their 27th La Liga title on Sunday night after defeating city-rivals Espanyol 4-2 at the Cornellà-El Prat stadium.
La Liga top scorer Robert Lewandowski opened the goal rush with an 11th minute finish before defender A.Balde made it 2-0 for the visitors eight minutes later.
The former Bayern Munich goal machine completed his brace in the 40th minute to make it 3-0 while Jules Koundé ensured the game was far from thri host’s reach by netting a fourth in the 53rd minute to make ot 4-0.
Howevers Espanyol pulled one back thorugh J. Puado (73′) but left it too late as they got a second consolation through Joselu (90+2′) to end the Catalan derby 4-2.
Xavi’s men lift the La Liga trophy with four matches to end the 2022/23 season, ending a three-year trophy drought for Barca who last won the the title in the 2018/19 season.
