Controversial crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, has strongly refuted bribery allegations made against him by social media influencer Martins Otse, who goes by the name VeryDarkMan.
The controversy erupted after a viral audio clip surfaced, in which VeryDarkMan claimed that Bobrisky had allegedly paid some unnamed operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission N15 million to dismiss money laundering charges pending against him.
In response to the allegations, the EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, confirmed the seriousness of the claims, announcing that the Commission’s Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, had ordered an immediate investigation into the matter.
Bobrisky took to Instagram on Wednesday morning to address the claims directly, vehemently denying that he had bribed any EFCC officials.
He emphasized that he had completed his jail term and asserted the falsehood of the audio recording circulating online.
“My attention has been drawn to a fake voice recording circulating on the internet that I paid EFCC 15 million naira, and that I was never in prison… I didn’t pay any EFCC money, which is a very big lie. I served my term in full, and I came out. Discard any false information,” he stated, urging his followers to disregard the misleading narrative.
As this drama unfolds, the crossdresser remains in the public eye, maintaining a strong stance against the allegations while calling for clarity and truth regarding his past legal troubles.
