American actress, Keke Palmer, has replied social media critics who tagged her ‘ugly’ for a recent bare-faced look.
The Emmy-winning actress took to her Twitter handle over the weekend to announce her pregnancy via a video.
The video was however greeted with mixed reactions. While some fans congratulaed her, others raised concerns over changes in her look, with some describing her as ‘ugly’ for not wearing a make-up on in the video.
Palmer, who has now responded in a new tweet on Tuesday said, “I just saw a few comments of people saying I was ugly cause I wasn’t wearing any makeup. And I really want y’all to get the help y’all need because makeup isn’t real. I’m beautiful in real life, because of who I am, not what I look like.”
In a follow-up tweet, she continued, “I wish I could bottle how I feel about myself and sell it. Because some people take comments to heart and these ppl just say anything. I mean truly it’s insane to say anyone is ugly, but especially me.”
