Singer, lawyer and social activist, Folarin Falana, aka Falz, has warned the Lagos State Government that its failure to prosecute Dambri Vandi, an Assistant Superintendent of Police ,Ajah Police Division, ‘is an invitation to chaos’
PUNCH METRO reported that Vandi, allegedly shot a female lawyer, Omobolanle Raheem, to death on Christmas day.
Reacting to the incident, Falz through an Instagram post on Wednesday urged the government to ensure that Justice is rightly delivered on the case.
Tagging the Lagos governor and the police both in his tweetes on in an Instagram post, Falz said, “#jidesanwoolu #PoliceNG. When we refused to leave the streets in October 2020, we were referred to as recalcitrant #EndSARS youths that just wanted to make trouble.
“Two years after a panel made recommendations regarding those cases, they have still not been implemented.
“Another man in a police uniform took the life of a pregnant Bolanle Raheem on Christmas Day.
“If this person isn’t punished & all details PUBLISHED for everyone to see, I am afraid many will interpret that as an invitation to chaos. Humble advice.”
It would be recalled that the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has promised that justice would be granted speedily, condemning the act.
