Victor Boniface, Super Eagles striker, has been named the best rookie in Germany’s Bundesliga for the month of November.
The winner of the prestigious monthly award was announced by the league on Friday.
The Nigerian international won the November prize after beating Xavi Simons and Merlin Röhl in the vote.
Since his move from Union Saint-Gilloise to Bayer Leverkusen in the summer, the striker has clinched the trophy in each of the initial three months of this season.
Now vying for a fourth consecutive win in November, despite a goalless performance last month, he contributed significantly with two assists during the 3-2 victory against Hoffenheim on Matchday 10.
Although registering 11 attempts on goal, the Nigerian showcased versatility beyond a typical center-forward role by creating three opportunities for teammates.
Impressively, he was directly involved in a shot on goal approximately every 18 minutes on average.
