Manchester United captain, Bruno Fernandes has been sent home early from Portugal’s squad following their friendly win over Sweden.
The Portugal playmaker was given permission to travel by head coach Roberto Martinez.
Fernandes scored and provided an assist as Portgual earned a 5-2 win over Sweden in Guimaraes on Thursday.
After he had played 90 minutes in the victory Fernandes has now been given time off to rest ahead of United’s next Premier League clash.
Man City duo Ruben Dias and Bernardo Silva also completed the match, along with Fulham’s Joao Palhinha and goalkeeper Rui Patricio.
The Red Devils, who beat Liverpool 4-3 in a scintillating FA Cup encounter before the break, are away to Brentford next weekend.
