The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Olayemi Cardoso, has announced that the bank is set to unveil a newly redesigned version of its website aimed at improving transparency and accountability.
According to The PUNCH, Cardoso made this disclosure during a special summit dinner at the 30th Nigerian Economic Summit, held in Abuja on Tuesday.
He emphasized that the revamped website will offer a more user-friendly interface, enabling greater access to key information about the CBN’s operations, monetary policies, financial statistics, and regulatory frameworks.
“Information is something we are prioritizing at the Central Bank,” said Cardoso. “We are introducing measures that bring our activities closer to the public. By making information more accessible, we give people a clearer understanding of where the Bank is headed and how we plan to achieve our objectives.”
He further highlighted that the overhaul of the website is part of the CBN’s commitment to enhancing transparency and fostering trust with stakeholders.
“Our website is about to undergo a significant transformation. Very soon, we will see a new platform that embodies openness and accountability,” Cardoso added.
The current CBN website serves as a key resource for disseminating information regarding the Bank’s policies and operations.
With the upcoming changes, the Bank hopes to build stronger connections with the public and improve the flow of information.
