Three years after his untimely passing at the age of 43 from colon cancer, Hollywood is getting ready to honor the late actor, Chadwick Boseman with a posthumous star on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame.
According to Nigerian Tribune, a distinguished group of personalities, including Boseman, who rose to fame for his portrayal of the superhero Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe from 2016 to 2019, will be inscribed on the historic spot in 2024.
This coveted honor, which will also be given to other entertainment industry greats, was just announced by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce’s Walk of Fame Selection Panel.
Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Christina Ricci, Ken Jeong, Kerry Washington, Gwen Stefani, Eugene Levy, Mario Lopez, and Sheryl Lee Ralph are among the honorees.
Ellen K, the committee’s chair and a spokesman for the Walk of Fame, emphasized the careful selection process used by the group, which is made up of seasoned Walk of Famers.
Stating that the honorees were carefully picked to represent different entertainment genres, Ellen K expressed excitement for the impending star unveiling, looking forward to the emotional responses of each recipient as they come to realize their significance on the most famous walkway in the world.
Boseman’s performances in films like 42, Marshall, Get on Up, and Draught Day, in addition to his renowned role as Black Panther, created a lasting impression.
The posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame will honour Chadwick Boseman’s accomplishments, influence, and legacy in the entertainment business.
