Chef Dammy hits 120hrs of marathon cooking
Ekiti State chef, Damilola Adeparusi, famously called Chef Dammy has finally reached the 120-hour landmark in the ongoing cook-a-thon.
This is coming barely a few hours after record holder for the longest hours in cooking (individual category), Chef Hilda Baci, who cooked on a stretch for 100 hours, was certified by the Guinness World Records.
The 26-year-old Dammy, who is passionate about her ambition had cooked up to 111 hours on Tuesday, in Oye Local Government Area in Ekiti.
Meanwhile, she had been visited by the Vice Chancellor and management of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti.
As it stands, if confirmed by the GWR, Chef Dammy will become the new world record holder.
The completion of the 120hours cook-a-thon has elicited divergent reactions from Netizens.
While it is a mixed feeling for some, others see it as a stepping stone for the 26-year-old.
@ nwa_anambra said “I want you to point me wherever that Dammy girl has said anything about Hilda Baci or whatever she has done to denigrate Hilda’s achievement. Just point me to it.
@benue_lastborn is of the opinion that Chef Dammy should use the platform created from the challenge wisely. He wrote” I’ve said it before and I’m still at it, if this dammy girl feels she has any form of dignity she should just use this little platform she has with wisdom. Because I don’t think GWR will recognize this stunt she pulled after seeing how they rated Hilda baci.
In his funny Tweet @UncleaPamilerin said “So no chef dammy live today 😭😭 what am I going to do with my life now.
@Nsukka_okpa tweeted “Congratulations to everyone involved. Particularly to chef Dammy. she has been amazing all through and to the Head Pastor as well.Immediately the time clocks at the 120hour mark, Police and DSS should swoop in and arrest all of them.
