Due to the current military coup in the country, Max Air aircraft 5N-ADM on a Hajj flight to Niamey, Niger Republic, is stranded at the city’s airport.
The plane, a Boeing 747-400, touched down in Niamey around 2140z (2240 local time) with 360 Nigerian pilgrims on board. Captain Maitama Kabo commanded the ship’s 18 crew members.
Premium Politics reported on Wednesday that members of the elite guard sealed off access to Niger Republic President, Mohammed Bazoum’s residence and offices in the capital Niamey, and after talks broke down.
