The Delta State Executive Council has given the go-ahead for the development of residential quarters at the Delta State University Teaching Hospital, Oghara, to house resident Doctors and house officers.
According to Vanguard, on Monday, May 15, 2023, the commissioner for information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, revealed this to the media while explaining some of the decisions made during the state’s Executive Council meeting, which was presided over by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa at Government House, Asaba.
Aniagwu stated that the council also gave the go-ahead for the equipping of the new, six-story high court facility in Asaba, adding that this action furthered the state’s judicial system’s independence.
“In keeping with the governor’s pledge to serve until his final day in office, the state Executive Council has approved a number of projects, including the 1.2 km Ayo Ben Street project at Agbor.
He stated, “In Effurun, Uwvie Local Government Area of the state, the Exco approved the repair of Sokoh Estate Road.
According to the commissioner, other projects approved were the construction of Comrade Reuben Izeze Boulevard in the Ughelli South Local Government Area and Phase V of the Okerenkoko Township Roads in Warri South West.
He further claimed that the building of the NDDC Road, the Frank Monye Street in Boji-Boji Owa, Ika North East, and the DSC Roundabout with several nearby streets that connect to the Ughelli/Patani Expressway have all been approved.
