Eight persons have been declared wanted by the Defence Headquarters over their roles in the recent killing of 17 military personnel in Delta State.
The military released the list on Thursday at a briefing in Abuja.
Those declared wanted are Prof. Ekpekpo Arthur, Andaowei Dennis Bakriri, Akevwru Daniel Omotegbo (a.k.a Amagben), Akata Malawa David, Sinclear Oliki, Clement Ikolo Ogenerukeywe, Reuben Baru, Igoli Ebi.
The seventeen military personnel killed in Okuama in in Delta State on March 14, 2024 were buried at the National Military Cemetery, Abuja, on Wednesday.
Their burial were attended by President Bola Tinubu, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa; Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt-General Taoreed Lagbaja; Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, and Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla.
President Bola Tinubu conferred national honours on 17 military personnel killed in Delta State on March 14, 2024. The President made this known when he attended the burial of the slain military personnel in Abuja on Wednesday.
The Nigerian Army has released the names and photographs of the soldiers killed on last Thursday in Delta State.
The army released the details in a post on its official X handle.
