About 1,050 personnel have been deployed by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Coros of the Jigawa State Command, to intensify security measure during the Eid-el-Fitr celebration across the state.
The Public Relations Officer of command, CSC. Adamu Shehu, made this disclosure in a press statement.
He explained that it was part of the command’s efforts to beef up security during the Eid celebration on Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd of April, 2023.
The statement read, “The State Commandant Musa Alhaji Mala said that his personnel will be deployed to strategic locations to provide adequate and effective security and 24-hr surveillance throughout the festivity across the nooks and crannies of the State to ensure a crime-free Eid el fitr celebrations.”
He stated that the command would partner with other law enforcement agencies to give adequate security.
While urging the general public to cooperate with the officers conducting the exercise to ensure maximum security, the command also called on the parents to caution their children against activities and movements that may undermine the peaceful celebration during the Eid.
