El-Rufai expressed sympathy for the surviving family members and the NSCDC family and promised ongoing support in the form of logistics, operational tools, and working materials to enhance its operational services.
According to The Punch, the corps spokesperson, Olusola Odumosu signed a statement on Sunday saying that the support will help relieve the effects of the hardship that their losses may have caused.
The governor expressed pleasure with the corps’ performance, particularly in protecting the state’s vital assets and infrastructure, pointing out the mining industry’s importance to the expansion of the country’s economy.
El-Rufai promised to give the state’s LGA chairman instructions to increase the number of outposts for the corps in respective LGAs.
He praised the CG for implementing fundamental changes inside the corps, including the founding of the Special Female Squad, which was in charge of the Safe Schools Initiative among other initiatives.
The governor was complimented by Audi for his generosity in keeping the grieving families in mind.
He also thanked him for the additional outposts he committed to construct for the corps throughout the state, noting that the action would facilitate simple communication, reinforce the workforce, and speed up emergency response.
He claimed that the governor’s support was timely because he had already given his approval for the establishment of additional eight divisional offices, three area commands, and more outposts in the state to enhance the operational operations of the corps in the state.
Audi informed the governor that the corps was determined and committed to doing its absolute best to protect vital resources and infrastructure in the state while also securing lives.
