The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the Controller of Nigeria Correctional Service in the state, Adeyinka Adebayo Oyun, who tragically passed away on Saturday.
In a statement released by his spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, the Emir conveyed his condolences to the entire management and staff of the NCS in Kwara State, mourning the loss of a dedicated officer.
Sulu-Gambari also extended his sympathy to the Federal Government, the Minister for Interior, Olubunmi Ojo, and the Comptroller General of the NCS, Haliru Nababa, as well as the government and people of Kwara State, describing the late Controller Oyun as a committed servant who passed away while serving his nation.
“The Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council joins in mourning the loss of the NCS Controller, Adeyinka Oyun, and extends its heartfelt condolences to his immediate and extended family, as well as the people of Ipee community in Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State,” the Emir said.
“We stand in solidarity with the deceased’s widow and children during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them. May his soul rest in peace,” the statement added.
