Arsenal were held to a 2-2 draw by 10-man Fulham at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, denying the Gunners the chance to maintain their lead in the English Premier League table.
Fulham had taken an unexpected lead just one minute into the game, thanks to an error by Bukayo Saka.
After a massive miscue, Andreas Pereira pounced on the loose ball on the edge of the box and buried it.
The Gunners battled back, but the first half ended with the score still tied.
In the 70th minute, Arsenal scored a penalty kick to tie the game. Saka scored a goal after guiding the ball past Bernd Leno’s outstretched right arm and into the bottom right corner.
Three minutes later, Eddie Nketiah converted Fabio Vieira’s cross into the box for a 2-1 Gunners lead with a low shot to the middle of the goal.
Calvin Bassey was sent off on 83 minutes, which appeared to give Arsenal the edge.
The visitors, though, stunned the Gunners by equalising three minutes into the game.
Harrison Reed sent a cross into the box, which Joao Palhinha latched onto and smashed into the bottom left corner to make it 2-2.
