Super Falcons players were expected to arrive in Addis Ababa, on Sunday ahead of their Paris 2024 Olympic Games qualifier against Ethiopia on Wednesday.
Barcelona Femeni Forward, Asisat Oshoala, Michelle Alozie, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie and other stars were invited for the clash.
The Nigeria Football Federation said at the weekend, that the players were all expected to have arrived in Addis Ababa, on Sunday to begin preparations for the game Monday.
NFF Director, Media, Ademola Olajire, said Super Falcons’ Manager, Randy Waldrum, would travel straight from his United States’ base to the camp, just as all the Europe-based stars would jet to the East African country from their bases.
“The foreign-based players will fly direct to Addis Ababa and everyone must be there by Sunday. The match is on Wednesday, October 25th,” Olajire said.
Reports revealed that CAF has appointed Togolese referees for the encounter, which decisive leg will hold at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja, six days later.
Ethiopia eliminated Chad in the first round of the Olympics qualifying series, while the Falcons drew a bye.
