Family and friends have held prayers for former Inspector General of Police, Tafa Balogun, who died on August 4, 2022.
In the message they put together for the late police boss, they said, “Time moves so slowly that even after a whole year, we don’t think we’ve fully accepted that you are gone!”
The brilliant officer, who served as the country’s Inspector General of Police between 2002 and 2005, died some weeks before his 75th birthday from a heart ailment.
Friends and kinsmen used his one-year remembrance to offer prayers for him and the family he left behind.
There was a special prayer at his hometown of Ila Orangun in Osun State, and the media space was also occupied by remarks and messages telling of how he lived and all his good deeds.
The late policeman, popularly called Kumawu by close friends, was the 11th Inspector General of Police and was forced to retire for some serious allegations.
