The family of a 19-year-old girl, Ebube Orjike, who went missing on Thursday, December 12, 2024, has called on the public for assistance in finding her.
According to The PUNCH, the Ogun State Police Command, Ebube, who resides on Mubarak Street, Akute, was last seen heading to her workplace on Onwe Street on the day she disappeared.
Her aunt, Happiness Orjike, reported the incident to the Ajuwon Police Division, stating that the teenager allegedly misled her employer by claiming she had been sent to Berger by one of her sisters.
Efforts by the family to contact her have been unsuccessful, as her phone remains switched off. Concerned about her safety, the family has appealed to anyone with useful information to assist in locating her.
Speaking on the case, the Ogun State Police Command spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, described Ebube as fair-skinned and fluent in English and Igbo.
Odutola explained, “She informed her boss that her sister had asked her to go to Berger, but her aunt has refuted this claim. Since she left for Ojodu-Berger, she has not returned, and her phone is unreachable.”
The police have urged members of the public to report any information that could help trace the missing teenager to the nearest police station.
“We are working to locate her and ensure her safe return,” Odutola added.
