The Federal Government has approved the rehabilitation of police stations and barracks in several parts of Nigeria.
According to Daily Post, this was disclosed by the Minister of Police Affairs, Muhammad Dingyadi made the revelation in Abuja during the ‘PMB Administration Scorecard Series (2015-2023)’ anchored by the Ministry of Information.
Also, the government gave the go-ahead for the establishment of intelligence apparatus in Force, Zone 1, and Zone 2 headquarters.
He also revealed that the police have remodeled the Detective College in Enugu, built new hospitals and health centers, outfitted the FCT Command, and created a Cyber Crime Control Centre.
Stations and barracks rehabilitated or under repair are in Kebbi, Edo, Borno, Yobe, Gombe, Bauchi, Plateau, Abia, Bayelsa, Nasarawa, Niger, Sokoto, Ogun, Lagos, FCT; the total cost is N5billion.
