Super Eagles of Nigeria have made a slight improvement on the global football stage but has lost its place among Africa’s top five teams in the latest FIFA rankings.
According to the world football governing body’s updated rankings, the Super Eagles moved up one spot from 44th to 43rd in the world.
However, despite this progress, the three-time Africa Cup of Nations winners slipped to seventh in Africa, dropping out of the continent’s elite top five.
Leading the African rankings is Morocco, followed by Senegal, Egypt, Algeria, and Ivory Coast, maintaining strong positions on the list.
Meanwhile, Nigeria now sits in seventh place, just behind the top five and Ghana.
Completing the top 10 in Africa are Tunisia in eighth, Cameroon in ninth, while Mali and South Africa occupy the 10th and 11th spots, respectively.
