National Emergency Management Agency, has revealed that four buildings have collapsed due to the intensity of the fire that gutted part of Dosunmu Market on Lagos Island on Tuesday.
Lagos Territorial Coordinator, NEMA, Mr Ibrahim Farinloye, disclosed this on Tuesday after the fire incident.
He said that 14 other buildings were seriously impacted by the inferno.
The fire which gutted a two-storey building began at 10 am on Tuesday.
Farinloye noted that the source of the fire could be attributed to the refuelling of a running generator at the market.
He said emergency responders at the scene of the event included NEMA, Federal and State Fire Services, the Nigeria Police and fire service of the Nigeria Ports Authority.
