The Federal Road Safety Corps Marshal, Dauda Ali Biu, on Friday expressed shock over the death of a corps tow truck driver in a road traffic crash that occurred at the Karu bridge, on the Nyanya-Maraba Expressway.
According to The PUNCH, this was confirmed in a statement by the Assistant Corps Marshal, Corps Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem.
The statement noted that investigation into the crash revealed that a total of four people were involved, out of which three sustained different degrees of injuries while one person, who happened to be the driver of the towing truck, was killed.
According to the statement, the driver was towing a broken-down trailer from the crash scene when the incident happened.
Biu, deeply saddened by the crash, commiserated with the entire Management and Staff of the Corps over the loss while also praying for the soul of the deceased to rest in peace
He also directed immediate evacuation of every obstruction caused as a result of the crash.
