Gridlock as truck collides with Lagos pedestrian bridge

Unknown truck reportedly collided with the pedestrian bridge at Alapere Estate, Ketu axis of Lagos in the wee hours of Friday.
According to The PUNCH, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Adebayo Taofeek, confirmed the incident.
The incident was revealed in a video posted by an X user simply identified as Umar-Farouq Ogbe, around midnight on Friday.
Ogbe, who claimed to be a resident of Alapere Estate, disclosed that his friend initially sent the first video to the Estate’s Whatsapp group chat.
Confirming, Taofeek said, “Yes, information reaching me is that a truck loaded with metal and was too high got stuck under the bridge, leading to the collapse of the bridge, with the debris causing serious gridlock at the Ketu-Alapere axis of Lagos State, inward Berger.”
