An aide to the Governor of Ebonyi State, Mrs. Blessing Adagba, has been abducted by unidentified gunmen in the Ohaukwu Local Government Area of the state.
According to The PUNCH, Adagba, who serves as the Coordinator of the Ngbo Central Development Centre, was reportedly kidnapped in the early hours of Thursday at Okposhi Eheku community.
The development has sent shockwaves through the local government, as residents express concern over rising insecurity.
The Ebonyi State Police Command confirmed the incident on Friday through its spokesperson, SP Joshua Ukandu.
He revealed that security operatives had already commenced operations to rescue the victim.
