At least 25 members of the Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Igan, Akure, the Ondo state capital have been abducted by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers.
It was gathered the CAC members were kidnapped around 3pm on Friday while traveling to Ifon for a burial ceremony.
One of the church members, who preferred anonymity, disclosed that the bus conveying the kidnapped choir members was abandoned by the roadside.
A woman said two of her family members were among the kidnapped church members.
When contacted, the state Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya could not be reached for comments.
